What it is
Shows how much the shares you hold have gained or lost.
How it's worked out
Invested = quantity × average buy price. Current value = quantity × current price. Gain = current − invested, also shown as a %.
What each input means
- Quantity: How many shares you hold.
- Avg buy price: What you paid per share, on average.
- Current price: Today's price per share.
Good to know
Brokerage, taxes and dividends are not included. Use the average price from your broker if you bought in parts.
A quick example
50 shares bought at ₹400 and now at ₹460: ₹20,000 invested, ₹23,000 now, a gain of ₹3,000 (15%).
